25 | On 8/8/2024 Licensing Program Analysts (LPA), Suzette Ornelas conducted an unannounced Annual Required Inspection/reactivate license from inactive status. LPA was met by Licensee, ELZAM, SHINTAL who guided LPA on a tour of the home. Days and hours of operation are Monday through Thursday 8am- 4pm and Friday 8am-3pm.
LPA toured the home inside and outside and a census was taken. LPA observed 0 day care children and 2 adults. Capacity as specified on the license is being maintained. The facility has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, dining area, and a living room, front yard/back yard, and a den/play room( this room is a permitted converted garage). Child care is mainly conducted in the living room, dining area, the den/play room and the kitchen area. The following are the off limit areas; all bedrooms and the master bathroom. LPA observed a working smoke detector, carbon monoxide detector, fully charged 2A10BC fire extinguisher and a working telephone. The front yard is on limits only when children enter the home. The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. The First Aid Kit was observed and complete. Per LIS the facility annual fees are current. There are age appropriate toys and napping equipment on the premises. Facility provides daily meals for the children. Licensee has posted as required the License, and all other required postings in a visible location. Per licensee, living room will be used as the isolation area.
There are no firearms or ammunition on the premises. The outdoor play area in the backyard is fenced and there are no hazards to children present. Home does not have a swimming pool. There is a fireplace located in the home that is covered and made inaccessible by a glass screen. There is currently 0 infants in care. LPA provided safe sleep information. Licensee ensures that children in care are supervised at all times and is aware children shall not be left in parked vehicles. Car seats are used for transportation purposes only and are not used for sleeping children. |
