32 | LPA Clayton conducted a Health and Safety inspection of the food storage area and observed it to be free of litter/rubbish and free of rodents/vermin. All food is protected against contamination, and any contaminated food is to be discarded immediately. Solid waste storage containers have tight-fitting covers and are in good repair.
The CCC completed Lead testing, and No Lead Exceedances.
The Child Care Center has a Fire Alarm System (fire detection system, alarm system, emergency alarm system, gas detection systems, fire extinguishing system) which was tested November 11, 2024. LPA Clayton observed a fully charged 3A40BC outside of the Preschool 1 and TK 1 classrooms, a fully charged 3A40BC Fire Extinguisher outside of the TK 2 classroom and a fully charged 3A40BC Fire Extinguisher outside of the STEAM Lab. LPA Clayton reviewed documentation indicating the staff are conducting fire drills according to Title 22 regulations.
LPA Clayton reviewed 6 children’s files and observed the files to contain current immunization records, contact information of parents and authorized representatives, authorization for medical treatment, signed Parent’s Rights and signed Personal Rights receipts. LPA Clayton reviewed Sleep Logs per Title 22 regulations.
LPA Clayton reviewed 6 employee files which were found to be complete and in compliance.
Director Nara was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
