Staff reported the license purchases food every 2 weeks for the daycare. LPAs observed food in the freezer, fridge and cabinets with a variety of expiration dates. LPAs did not observe any expired food at the daycare. Children stated they have good food at the daycare such as spaghetti and tacos. Children stated they have not had any nasty food at the daycare.

Staff stated the children are asked to sit down when they are misbehaving while at the daycare. LPAs observed staff redirecting the children while at the daycare. The children are provided with warnings and staff speak to them about their behavior. Children stated staff tell friends that they will go to time-out and also tell their mom about their behavior.

Staff reported the children practice fire drills every other month. The daycare has an emergency location that they can the children to if needed. Staff observed the emergency disaster plan on the parent board.

Although the allegations may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the above alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegations of Food Service, Personal Rights and Record Keeping are found to be unsubstantiated. Based on interviews and observations, no evidence has shown that the facility violated the Food Service, Personal Rights and Record Keeping Regulations.

Exit interview was conducted and a copy of the report was provided. Appeal rights were reviewed and provided.
