25 | On Tuesday, August 12, 2025 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Sherell Braddock, conducted an unannounced Annual/Random inspection. LPA met with Assistant, Crystal Mora who guided LPA on a tour of the home. Upon arrival licensee was out and returned about 15 minutes later from transportation drop offs. People who reside in the home are the Licensee and her spouse who are live scanned and have TB skin test on file, and their 2 minor children (11, 14). Upon arrival, LPA observed 10 children in care with 2 assistants. The large family childcare home operates Monday – Friday 6:30am-6:00pm. Incidental Medical Services were discussed. Per licensee, there are no children in care that require IMS at this time.
This is a one story 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom home with kitchen, dining room, children's dining room, family room and garage. There is an above ground pool on the premises in the backyard that is surrounded by a gate that is at least 5 feet high. The gate is self-latching and self-closing and swings away from the pool area. There is a lock on the latch that is less than 6 inches from the top of the gate. There are no climbable structures or other items adjacent to the fencing. Currently the above ground pool is empty. The licensee has a pool alarm, safety ring and pole. Per licensee, she does not know if she will refill the pool or get rid of it. Per licensee, the kitchen, all bedrooms, living room, and garage are off-limits. LPA observed safety gates in place that make all off-limits areas inaccessible and garage door has a safety knob. Per licensee, 100% supervision is always provided to children in care.
The home was inspected inside for comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation. Medications are stored in the hall closet inaccessible to children. The kitchen knives are stored in a kitchen cabinet inaccessible to children in care. Cleaning compounds are stored in an upper kitchen cabinet inaccessible to children.
