13 | On October 20, 2021 at 4:31 p.m., Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Isabel Ortega conducted an unannounced complaint subsequent inspection on the above allegations. LPA disclosed the purpose of inspection and was permitted entry by Director who guided LPA on tour of the facility. LPA counted 17 children with 7 staff present.
During inspection, LPA interviewed Director, Staff children and observation of facility records obtained. There was consistent disclosures that children are isolated if a child begins to show any signs of illness. A notebook is kept for record keeping when children are send home and parents are notified if a child is coughing or showing any illness symptoms.
Based on evidence obtained and interviews conducted, the above allegation is deemed Unsubstantiated. A finding that the complaint is unsubstantiated means that although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the alleged violations did or did not occur. An exit interview was conducted, a copy of this report, Appeal Rights, and a notice of site visit were provided to the Director, Shirley Johnson. |
