32 | Edison arrived on 2/22/2025 and did not respond to flickering lights, but only responded to the outside light pole. On 2/24/2025, the licensee sent a 3rd work order to Edison. Edison came out on the same day to the facility. Edison left additional instructions for the electrician. The electrician visited the facility on 2/26/2025, but no work was completed. On 3/22/2025, the Electrician changed the meter and the wiring; however, additional work was needed as the lights were still flickering. The licensee ordered light covers with clouds to try to minimize the flickering lights. On 4/12/2025, all the fluorescent lights were switched out for LED lights, however, the lights were still flickering. According to the Director of Operations, the flickering lights seem to be a complex issue beyond the electricians and Edison; however, as of 5/14/2025, the facility has implemented LED Ultrabright ceiling lights until the flickering lights issues have been resolved.
Therefore, the allegation that the facility did not ensure the facility is maintained in good repair is deemed unsubstantiated. A finding that the complaint is unsubstantiated means that although the allegations may have happened or are valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove that the alleged violations did or did not occur.
No deficiency is cited in accordance with Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations and/or Health & Safety Codes.
An exit interview was conducted, report and appeals rights were discussed and provided to Director, Araceli Gonzalez.
