set up and the infant was placed inside the crib. Based on the facility roster, the licensee has 16 children enrolled in day care.
Physical Plant: The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents/cleaning compounds, medicines and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. The kitchen is off-limits, and it has a child safety retractable mesh gate. The smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector are in operable condition (tested at 1:16 P.M.). The facility has a 4-A:60-B:C type of fire extinguisher. Licensee stated that she does not own firearms. Per licensee, no one smokes in the facility. LPA observed cleaning products are on top of the paper towel dispenser in the kitchen. Knives and vitamins are stored in the upper kitchen cabinets. Per licensee, she does not have household medications, no medications are currently being provided to the children in care. Licensee is enrolled in a food program and licensee provides meals and snacks to children.
The facility is a one-story house. There is no fireplace in the facility. The home has central heating and air conditioning units.
Based on records review, the fire/earthquake drills were conducted last Mar 3, 2025, at 3:00 P.M.
LPA observed safe and age-appropriate toys, toy kitchen sets, toy house, cubbies, books, television, table, chairs, and other learning materials. LPA also observed sleeping mats in the living room.
LPA observed the first aid kit box is mounted on the wall in the kitchen. Electrical outlets are covered with safety plugs, and some are hidden behind the furniture and are inaccessible.
The licensee is advised that baby bouncers, saucer chairs, or any recalled and or banned toys or sleep/ play equipment are prohibited on the premises. Licensee is advised to check for fixture, furniture and equipment that have been banned or recalled by the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Bathroom: Toilet, sink and faucet were clean and operable. LPA did not observe razors and/or sharp objects, shampoos, mouthwash, medications, perfumes, air freshener, nail polish and nail remover that will
