32 | According to the Director, hours may vary but is present daily. According to Staff 1 (S1), Staff 2 (S2), Staff 3 (S3), the director is present daily, although times vary. According to Parent 3 (P3) and Parent 4 (P4), Parent 5 (P5) and Parent 6 (P6) they are not sure when the Director is present at the facility; however, if needed, they are able to get in contact with the director via email or during pick ups.
-Pertaining to the allegation that - Facility is operating out of ratio.
According to the RP- there is not enough staff available to maintain child teacher ratio at all times.
According to the Director, there is always enough staff present to maintain ratio and there is always assistance available at times if needed, director will step in. According to Staff 1 (S1), Staff 2 (S2), Staff 3 (S3), children are always supervised and one teacher is never left alone with more than 12 children at a time.
According to Parent 3 (P3) and Parent 4 (P4), Parent 5 (P5) and Parent 6 (P6), they have no concerns regarding ratio. P3 and P6 stated that they have observed approximately 10 children in the classroom.
-Pertaining to the allegation that - Staff does not ensure that facility is free of odors.
According to the RP- the directors dog goes to the bathroom inside the facility and due to it not being immediately cleaned up, there is a bad odor present at the facility.
According to the Director, the dog does not go to the bathroom at the facility, if an accident does occur, which is rare, the area is cleaned up. According to Staff 1 (S1), Staff 2 (S2), Staff 3 (S3), they have never observed the dog going to the bathroom inside the facility and have not smelled any bad odors.
According to Parent 3 (P3) and Parent 4 (P4), Parent 5 (P5) and Parent 6 (P6), they have no concerns regarding odors at the facility and have never smelled anything of concern.
Based on the evidence as documented above, the allegations have been determined to be Unsubstantiated. A finding that the complaint is unsubstantiated means that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the allegation occurred.
A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
