25 | On 7/6/2023 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jillinda Chandler made an unannounced visit to the Brighter Days Early Learning LLC. preschool for the purpose of conducting a " Required One Year Annual" inspection. Upon arrival there were 24 children being supervised by lead Darlene Estrada-director and four teachers. Day care operations were being held in room number 2 and 3. LPA inspected the classrooms for Health and Safety compliance per Title 22.
THE FOLLOWING WAS OBSERVED
The floor in the classroom was observed to be in good condition.
Age appropriate toys, furniture and equipment were observed to be in good condition, free of sharp, loose, or pointed parts.
Disinfectants, cleaning solutions, medication and other items that are dangerous to children, were in locked cabinets, inaccessible to children.
Trash cans in the classroom had tight fitting lids.
Drinking water is readily available both indoors and outdoors.
Children have individual cubbies to store their personal belongings
LPA observed a refrigerator in the staff lounge for storage of medication in need of refrigeration, there was a locked drawer for storage of other medications.
The rooms temperature was set at a comfortable temperature
Menus and required posting were observed in a prominent area for review.
Parents provide meals and the center provides snacks
LPA observed a first aide kit with the required essentials: scissors, tweezers, ointments, bandages and a thermometer. |
