On 08/11/2022 at 8:38 a.m., Antonio Almanza, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), conducted an unannounced site visit for the purpose of delivering finding for complaint received on 05/27/2022. LPA met with MARIAM GRIGORYAN, Licensee, and explained the purpose of the visit. During today’s visit there are 2 Adults and 4 Children in care. Covid Risk Assessment was conducted. Language Link was used to interpret Armenian for the licensee (Interpreter ID# 209266).

During the course of the investigation, LPA Almanza conducted interviews and made observations regarding Allegations, (1) Staff hit day care children; (2) Staff use inappropriate discipline.

Children in care are reporting that they like their teachers and that they are nice. Parents are reporting that they have no concerns regarding the care and supervision that their children are receiving at the Family Child Care Home (FCCH).

Parents are reporting that their children are happy and like the FCCH. Parents are reporting that they like the FCCH and do not have any concerns.

On 06/03/2022, LPA Almanza conducted an unannounced visit at the FCCH. LPA observed children in care engaged in different activities while interacting with staff and speaking freely to each other and teachers. LPA did not observe any interaction of concern between staff and children.

Based on the evidence obtained over the course of the investigation, LPA was unable to corroborate that the Allegations, (1) Staff hit day care children; (2) Staff use inappropriate discipline. Therefore, the allegation is determined Unsubstantiated. A finding that the complaint is unsubstantiated means that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the allegation occurred.
