Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Alicia Bailey, conducted an unannounced required annual inspection on 07/05/22 at 9:35 am. Upon arrival, LPA Bailey met with the Director Jamesetta Willis. LPA Bailey was guided on a tour of the facility including both indoor and outdoor areas. The staff's 1 to 1 children met the ratio. At 9:50 am, fingerprint clearances were assessed and noted. The infant program was for ages 6 weeks to 18 months. The facility's hours are Monday to Friday, from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. The Center Facility Visit Checklist is provided during inspection.

At 10:05 am, all areas identified on the facility sketch were inspected and checked the following: Telephone service, heating, lighting, and ventilation were evaluated. The children and the staff restrooms were inspected for the appropriate age, sinks and toilets were inspected for availability, good repair, water temperatures, toilet paper, paper towels, area safety, and sanitation. At 10:12 am, LPA Bailey inspected infant room age appropriate toys. LPA Bailey observed, cribs and changing table, in room . LPA Bailey observed napping equipment and bedding were in good repair. At 10:30 am LPA Bailey observed individual cubbies for the children personal items. At 10:50 am the facility food prep area was toured. LPA Bailey inspected the food preparation area, storage and refrigeration were clean. The facility provides breakfast, lunch, and snacks.

Storage for children's belongings and an isolation area with a sink, toilet, and mats/cots were inspected for cleanliness.

At 11:10 am, the availability of drinking water was reviewed. LPA review of medication policy for the center. LPA Bailey toured the outside play area of the facility. LPA Bailey observed age-appropriate and good repair of all outdoor equipment.


There are no weapons or bodies of water on the premises, first Aid supplies were inventoried. The smoke detectors, carbon monoxide & fire extinguisher (05/13/22 service) are operable. LPA Bailey reviewed the Earthquake & fire drill log last conducted on 06/29/2022.

At 12:00pm, LPA Bailey reviewed two children files all two children files was in compliance. At 12:10 pm LPA, Bailey reviewed five staff records that was in compliance. At 12:20 pm, LPA Bailey conducted a staff interview with Director Jamesetta Willis.

At 12:40 pm, the following was discussed with the Director Jamesetta Willis :

In Good Hands Learning Infant Center was reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, before the initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day up to $500.00 maximum per day/per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

LPA discussed the safe sleep regulations with and discussed the Child Care Licensing Safe Sleep web page athttps://www.cdss.ca.gov/inforesources/child-care-licensing/public-information-and-resources/safe-sleep as an additional resource. LPA also informed the site director of the importance of checking for recalled infant devices on the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) website at https://www.cpsc.gov/ and recommended they register all infant devices. CPSC to be notified of any recalls of their purchased equipment.

LPA Bailey reviewed Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), Shaken Baby Syndrome, and safe sleep practices with Director. *Infants should always sleep on their backs, mouths facing up.
Infant Needs and Services Plan: The written infant needs and services plan shall be updated at least quarterly, or as often as necessary to assure its accuracy. Infant Care: LPA advised the applicant to sleep infants where they can be directly supervised at all times. LPA advised against sleeping infants in a separate room. LPA reviewed SIDs, Never Shake A Baby, and safe sleeping practices. Infants should sleep mouth up, on their backs, free of clutter surrounding their sleeping space. Safe sleep concepts were provided. LPA discussed PIN 20-24-CCP.

The incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information, see Evaluator Manual - Child Care Centers Section 102417. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. No deficiencies were cited by Title 22 of the California Code of Regulations and Health & Safety Codes. At this time, the licensee complies with California Title 22 Regulations.

Upon receipt, Notice of Site Visit shall be posted for thirty (30) days. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a $100 civil penalty.



An exit interview was conducted, and a copy of this report was provided to the Director Jamesetta Willis. Notice of site visit was issued.
