On 1/26/2023 at 4:22pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Adrian Risher conducted an announced Case Management visit for the purpose of an inspection for a proposed capacity increase. LPA met with Secela Mckinney-Evans and toured the facility inside and out. The facility is applying for a capacity increase of 14. There were no children in care at the time of inspection. Hours of operation are 7 days a week 23 hours a day. The fire clearance was granted on 1/14/2023 by inspector Henry Medina.

The home has 3 bedroom and 1 bathroom. The daycare will consist of the living room, dining room, Bedroom 1 and Bedroom 2. These areas were inspected by LPA. The other bedrooms and rooms are considered off-limits and inaccessible. Applicant owns the home. Applicant provided a copy of the deed as proof of ownership.

The living room is used for the children under the age of 2. The dining room is used for the two year olds to learn and play. The daycare children eat in the dining room as well. Bedroom 1 is used as the preschool classroom and after school care. Bedroom 2 is the sleeping room. LPA observed cots, mats and playpens used for napping.

LPA inspected the bathroom and did not observe any medications or poisons that could pose a potential risk to children in care. The kitchen was inspected during the visit. LPA did not observe any knives or sharp objects, detergents or cleaning supplies that would pose a potential risk to children in care. These items were made inaccessible to the children. Licensee has put safety locks on the lower cabinets in the kitchen and also has a safety gate at the entrance of the doors throughout the home.

LPA observed age appropriate toys, furniture and activities for children while in care at the facility. LPA did not observe any bodies of water at the home. The outside play area is gated all around.
