25 | On 5/21/024 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Loyce Phillips conducted an unannounced Required-3 Year Inspection and was met by Licensee, Monique Gonzalez. LPA observed 4 children in care with Licensee. Co-Licensee was present during visit. The facility operating hours are Monday through Friday from 2:30pm to 5:30pm after-school program. The facility has liability insurance. Capacity as specified on the license is being maintained during today's inspection.
LPA toured inside and outside the facility. The home consist of 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with living room/dining area laundry area (in the hallway adjacent to bedrooms), kitchen, family room, and detached garage with storage room.
The areas that are accessible to children: living room, dining area, bathroom # 2 located between family room and bedroom #3. The family room is accessible for children to walk through only to get to the bathroom #2. The garage is accessible for outdoor activities. Licensee is aware that eating, sleeping or toileting is not allowed in the garage area.
The areas that are off limits to children: Bathroom #1, Bedrooms #1, #2, #3, kitchen and family room. All bedrooms have child proof door knobs.
There is no swimming pool or other bodies of water on the premises. LPA observed the FCCH has 1 firearm stored in a Seatry Safe Locked Box with key access. The Locked box is stored in the closet on upper shelf inaccessible to children. The ammunition is stored in a separate box located in the garage storage room. LPA observed the storage room was locked and Co-Licensee unlocked the door by key access. The FCCH has 3 pets 2 dogs and 1 tortoise. No poisons were observed during the inspection. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medication and other hazardous items are made inaccessible to children. LPA observed a heater in the living and family room accessible to children (technical advisory discussed).
