25 | On 11/13/2023 at 3:15pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Sarah Garcia conducted a case management visit for the purpose of a capacity increase. LPA met with licensee Anna Badalyan and employee 1 (E1) and employee 2 (E2). LPA observed 6 children in care. Normal hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:30pm. Facility is licensed to care for children 2 years old to 4 years old. During today's case management visit, LPA Garcia observed two employees, E1 and E2 who were not associated to the facility present during time of inspection. LPA Garcia conducted a case management- deficiencies visit at 2:10pm.
The single family home has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room (daycare room), kitchen, and garage. The ON LIMITS area include living room (day care room), bedroom #1, bathroom #1, and outdoor play area. The OFF LIMITS areas include the bedroom #2, bathroom #2, kitchen, and the garage.
LPA inspected the daycare room and observed safe toys and materials. LPA inspected the bedroom #1 and observed children's beds utilized for sleep. The kitchen was inspected and LPA observed no poisons, medications, detergents, and cleaning supplies that could pose a potential risk to children in care. There is a safety gate at the entrance of the kitchen making it inaccessible to the children in care. LPA inspected the bathroom #1 and observed no hazards. LPA observed a charged fire extinguisher (3A40BC), and working smoke and carbon monoxide detectors. Home has central air and heat. LPA instructed licensee to conduct fire and earthquake drills every six months. LPA inspected the bedroom #2 and bathroom #2. The bedroom #2 and bathroom #2 will remain locked at all times. LPA inspected the outdoor play area. The outdoor area is gated on surrounding sides and is under supervision at all times. The outdoor area is observed to be clean, safe, and free from loose or sharp objects.
