13 | On 12/7/2023, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Suzette Ornelas conducted an unannounced follow up complaint inspection for the purpose of delivering the findings for the above-mentioned allegation. Upon arrival, LPA were greeted and let into the facility by Director, Jacqueline Soria Lopez, to whom the reason for the inspection was announced. LPA toured the facility and observed 15 daycare children and 4 staff.
Throughout the course of the investigation, LPA Ornelas made observations.
-Pertaining to the allegations that - Facility is in disrepair and Staff did not prevent day care children from having access to hazardous items
According to the reporting party (RP) facility is in need of repair due to chipped paint inside and outside exposing metal frame, asphalt is buckled, and kids trip over it, unused rooms are filled with junk and cleaning supplies (bleach & old paint) are under the cabinet not locked up. RP stated that are also broken toys in the outdoor space. |
