25 | On 4/19/2022 at 9:30am Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Loyce Phillips conducted a Case Management - Licensee Initiated visit. This inspection is due to an application received for a capacity increase. LPA, met with Licensee, Jerrilyn Cordett and was guided on a tour of the facility. The facility operates Monday through Friday 7:30am to 5:00pm.
The areas identified on the facility sketch were inspected. This is a 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bathroom home with living room, kitchen, dining area, laundry area and attached garage. Licensee resides in the home with spouse and minor child. All adults have criminal record clearance. Licensee provides breakfast, lunch and am/pm snacks to children. Areas that are accessible to children are as follows: Bedroom #3, 1/2 bathroom, living room, kitchen, dining area and attached garage, (main day care room), licensee is aware that children will only do daily activities in the garage. Eating, sleeping and toileting are conducted in the main house. Children have access to the backyard. The backyard has grass and a concrete area with age appropriate toys.
The off-limits areas are as follows: Bedroom #1, #2, bathroom #1, #2 and laundry area. The off-limits rooms are made inaccessible by safety door knobs. The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, poisons, detergents/cleaning compounds, medication and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children are inaccessible. LPA observed age appropriate safe toys inside. Licensee advised; children will nap on mats and cots. The facility has a carbon monoxide smoke detector was tested and operating. The living has an electric fire place that is covered by a screen.
