Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Keyona Scott conducted an unannounced Plan of Correction (POC) inspection on 12/16/2024 at 8:56 AM. The purpose of the inspection was to ensure the Type A deficiency cited on 12/05/2024 has been cleared and verify that the Licensee is operating within the limitations of the license. LPA met with Licensee, Jerrilyn Cordett at 9:17 AM and explained the reason for the inspection. Licensee, Assistant (A1) and eight (8) children, which includes three (3) infants, were present during the inspection.

LPA was guided on tour of the home on 12/16/2024 at 9:27 AM. The following was observed during the inspection:

There was an infant napping in a play yard in the napping room, and seven (7) children which includes two (2) infants with Assistant (A1) in the living room playing.

LPA reviewed files and verified the Acknowledgement of Receipt of Licensing Reports (LIC 9224) were signed by each child's parent/representative and was placed in each child's file.

Licensee has cleared the Type A deficiency cited on 12/05/2024. LPA cleared deficiency with an effective date of 12/08/2024 due to Licensee emailed LPA updated Child Care Facility Rosters (LIC 9040) on 12/08/2024, reflecting currently ten (10) children enrolled and six (6) children dis-enrolled effective 12/05/2024 and 12/06/2024. Licensee also emailed LPA on 12/08/2024, statement of how plans to remain in compliance and adhere to license capacity and ratio limitations.

The facility was operating in substantial compliance during today’s inspection on 12/16/2024. Per Title 22, Division 12, Chapter 3, of the California Code of Regulations, no deficiencies were cited.

LPA cleared deficiency on this date with an effective date of 12/08/2024 and provided a copy of the Licensing Report to Licensee, Jerrilyn Cordett, as well as issued Plan of Correction (POC) clearance letter. Page 1

The following was thoroughly discussed with Licensee:

Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living or working in the home, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a licensed Family Child Care Home. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5 days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30 days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.

Incidental Medical Services (IMS) policy was discussed. For IMS information see PIN 22-02-CCP. When any IMS is provided, a Plan for Providing IMS must be submitted to the Department. Licensee was informed of the MyChildCarePlan.org website; a consumer education website that helps families obtain child care by connecting them to child care providers and Resource and Referral Agencies (R&Rs) throughout California.

A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.

Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the licensee Jerrilyn Cordett.
