Next to the dinning room area you walk in the kitchen area.
Kitchen was observed and inspected. All cabinets were observed to have safety latches. Under the sink cabinet was observed and inspected. Knives and sharp objects were observed in the kitchen drawer next to the stove; all drawers were observed to have safety latches making the content inaccessible to the children in care. Next to the kitchen, a breakfast nook was observed. Licensee confirmed that children eat in the area. LPAs observed children’s highchairs. Kitchen is used as a walkway to access the backyard.
In the napping area, LPAs observed 4 pack and plays for children to nap. LPAs discussed Safe Sleep Regulations with licensee and provided the Individual Infant Sleeping Plan LIC 9227 for reference.
The bathroom that children will use was observed and inspected. Safety latch on all cabinets was observed. LPA observed a tub, toilet and sink area. LPAs observed cleaning compounds locked in the bathroom cabinet behind the door. All content inaccessible to the children in care.
The outdoor area was observed and inspected. To the right of the yard is a pergola with outdoor furniture. To the left of the pergola is a BBQ grill and a storage area that is fenced and made inaccessible to the children in care.The yard was observed to have age-appropriate outdoor equipment. LPAs observed the extra activity space. The area has a sliding door that leads to the activity space. LPAs observed children’s size table and chairs. LPAs observed a full bathroom that is only used to wash hands. LPAs reminded licensee that children are not to eat or nap in the extra activity space.
All electrical outlets were observed to be covered in the home. LPAs observed a working fire extinguisher and carbon monoxide detector throughout the home. Fire pull station was observed adjacent to the master bedroom.
The following areas are off-limits to the children in care: Master bedroom and bathroom.
No corrections were needed during today’s inspections. Exit interview was conducted with licensee Inbal Ohana. The licensing determination of this application will be reviewed with Licensing Program Manager for final resolution.
Licensee was reminded that all adults 18 and over living in the home, persons who provide care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance
