25 | On 5/11/2021 at 9:00 AM Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Angelica Ramirez conducted an announced Pre-Licensing tele-inspection with applicant Penelope Mackie via FaceTime due to the current public health crisis (COVID-19). This inspection is for the purpose of a new family child care application with a capacity of eight. The applicant guided the LPA on a virtual tour of the facility and intends to operate Monday to Friday 8 AM to 5 PM.
Areas identified on the facility sketch were inspected. This is a one story home with three bedrooms and one bathroom. The property has central air and heat. Residing in the home is the applicant, Individual #1, Individual #2 and three minors (biological children of Individuals #1 and #2), who all have a criminal record clearance. Applicant does not intend to provide snacks and meals for day care children, parents will provide meals and snacks. Applicant was advised to have snacks and food available in case of emergency.
The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, poisons, detergents/cleaning compounds, medication and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. LPA observed age appropriate safe toys. The applicant advised she will not provide a napping service at this time.
The home was inspected as follows: Living room, dining room, Kitchen, laundry room, three bedrooms, one bathroom, garage, and back yard.
Areas that are inaccessible to children are as follows: the garage only.
The bedrooms will only be used as needed.
