On 12/2/2022 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jillinda Chandler made an announced case management (licensee initiated) visit, for the purpose of increasing the center's capacity. The licensee is requesting to increase their capacity from 36 to 40 preschool children. LPA observed 22 children being properly supervised by 6 staff members. There is an approved fire clearance on file conducted by Inspector Richard Fick of the Torrance Fire Department. The center operates Monday - Friday; 9:00 a.m - 3:00 p.m.

The center has 3 classrooms; 2 single classes, one main classroom and a reading room.
LPA measured the centers indoor activity space the total indoor measurements = 1405.76 divided by 35 square feet for a total of 40 children.

The restrooms are located in the church adjacent to the preschool. The restrooms are gender identified; there are 2 toilets and 1 urinal = 3 toilets and 1 sink in the boys rest room; and 3 toilets, a changing table and 1 sink in the girls restroom. There is also a double faucet sink in the main classroom (center shall provide accommodations for children to access the sink). For a total of 6 toilets = 90 children; and 4 sinks = 60 children.

LPA observed the outdoors play area and there had been no structural changes to this area, the outdoor play area was measured by LPA Chandler on a previous inspection conducted on 10/01/2021. Measurements on that visit were; 5259.85 divided by 75 square feet for a total of 70 children.

Based on todays inspection the center shall be granted a capacity for 40 preschool children.
