25 | On 08/12/2022 at 8:39 a.m., Antonio Almanza, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), were at the licensed facility conducting an alternate inspection when the deficiency listed below weas observed.
Deficiencies observed:
At 8:46 a.m. LPA observed 5 infants and 1 teacher in “toddler class” ages 1-2 years old. At 8:48 a.m., another infant arrived and the Assistant Director stated that 2 of the infants were not supposed to be in the class because they were supposed to be visiting the 2 year old classroom. LPA explained ratios to the Assistant Director and explained that infants are children under the age of 2 years old and that they cannot be commingled with the 2-year-old children. At 8:50 a.m., 2 infants were moved to the other classroom putting the facility into ratio.
During todays visit One Type A violation is being cited under Title 22 Regulations, Division 12, Chapter 1, of the California Code of Regulations: 101416.5 Staff-Infant Ratio (b) There shall be a ratio of one teacher for every four infants in attendance (please see LIC 809-D for cited deficiency).
