32 | Preparedness, Notification of Parents Rights, Emergency Drills, California Car Seat Law Changes. LPA Whitmore observed cubbies for the children belongings. On top of the cubbies were wooden sensory items. There was one blue rectangle table with six blue chairs. There was one white art shelf that was mounted to the wall. The white shelf consists of paint brushes, colored pencils, glue, pencil sharpener, construction paper, and water paint. Next to the white shelf was a basket for games. Other items that were observed were books, play kitchen set, wooden blocks, different manipulatives, colorful magnets, trains, and plastic animals. In the day care there is a long cabinet with a sink. Under the cabinet are drawers and cabinets with child safety locks on them. In the cabinets and drawers are art materials and lesson plan materials. There is a bathroom that the children will be using. In the bathroom there is toilet, shower, trash can. In the cabinets was only toilet paper. LPA Whitmore observed a Fire Extinguisher which was a 3- A:40B: C. Fully stocked First Aid Kit. The carbon monoxide and smoke detector were tested and working properly. LPA Whitmore did not observe any bodies of water or pets in the home. LPA Whitmore asked the applicant if the neighbors had any bodies of water. Applicant responded and said no. There are no weapons in the home, per the applicant. LPA Whitmore did not observe any weapons. LPA Whitmore did share with the Applicant regarding the New Regulations for the Pool even though she does not have a pool. LPA Whitmore did share with the applicant that if she decides to get a swimming pool to notify the office and her LPA.
When leaving the day care there are two steps and a white door that will be locked. To the right there is one of the bedrooms that are used for an office. LPA Whitmore observed a desk, computer, and printer. To the left is another bedroom for applicants’ children. LPA Whitmore observed a closet, two beds, drawers, and shelf with many books. Next to the children’s bedroom is the applicants Master Bedroom, LPA Whitmore observed a closet, drawer, dresser, and a bed. Next to the Master’s Bedroom is a bathroom that consists of a sink, toilet, and shower. Once you leave the bathroom and make a left is the living room. The living room consist of a couch, a small wooden table, large wooden table with the television on top. There is a door that leads to the backyard. In the livingroom there is another bathroom that consist of sink, toilet, and shower. Directly in the living room is the dining room which consists of a long wooden table with 3 three green plants on the top. Next to the table on the floor is a big green plant, Next to the dining room is the kitchen. The kitchen consists of a trash can, refrigerator, stove, sink and cabinets. The back yard consists of 4 chairs, a wooden bench, a sandbox that was covered, Play structure. LPA Whitmore did shake the play structure to make sure that it would not move. The play structure was sturdy. There were four colorful hula hoops.
Applicants was reminded that all adults 18 and over living in the home, persons who provide care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers
