25 | On 01/18/2023 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lisa Clayton met with Licensee for Case Management - Capacity Increase Inspection. LPA Clayton was greeted by Licensee Lilit Gorginyan. There were no children in care. The home was toured with the Licensee for a health and safety inspection. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 9:00pm. Licensee will provide breakfast, lunch and am/pm snacks.
This is a single-family home which consists of the following: 4 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, family room, living room/dining room, kitchen, pool and fenced backyard. The home is neat and clean with heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. The Licensee has requested the OFF LIMIT AREAS are as follows: kitchen, bedroom 1, 2 and 3, bathroom 2, the gated pool, all of which will be inaccessible by child safety gates, closed and/or locked doors and visual supervision. The Licensee has requested the following rooms be ON LIMITS: living, dining room, family room (day care room), bedroom #4 (classroom), bathroom #2and the fenced backyard. Per Licensee, children will nap on cots in one of the day careroom. The ISOLATION AREA will be in the living room.
Per Licensee, there are no firearms in the home. A copy of the mortgage was reviewed and shows control of property. Any poisons, detergents/cleaning compounds, medication and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children are inaccessible.
There is an in-ground swimming pool that is fenced and in compliance with Title 22 Regulations as follows: (e) All licensees shall ensure the inaccessibility of pools, including swimming pools (in-ground and above-ground), fixed-in-place wading pools, hot tubs, spas, fish ponds or similar bodies of water, through a pool cover or by surrounding the pool with a fence. (1)Fences shall be at least five feet high and shall be constructed so that the fence does not obscure the pool from view. The bottom and sides of the fence shall comply with Division 1, Appendix Chapter 4 of the 1994 Uniform Building Code. In addition to meeting all of the aforementioned requirements for fences, gates shall swing away from the pool, self-close and have a self-latching device located no more than six inches from the top of the gate.
The home has a fully charged 2A:10: BC Fire Extinguisher and 2 working smoke detectors, a working carbon monoxide detector, and working telephone. LPA confirmed the phone number is 818- 462-1004. Licensee CPR/First Aid certificate is current and expires November 2024. The Licensee completed the Mandated Reporter Training requirement on 04/14/2022. The Licensee is in compliance with the immunization law which pertains to day care providers. |
