Age appropriate toys and equipment were observed in fair repair.
The play yard was enclosed and separate from other components at the facility, with a 4 inch or higher gate. Resilient cushioning was observed in good repair under fall zones.
LPA did not observe in place shading, applicant had a tent that will be but in place for shade, the built in retention wall will be used for resting. LPA did not observe any hazardous conditions during todays inspection.
Measurements for the outdoor activity area were 816.8 for a total of 10 children, which will not accommodate the indoor capacity of 24 children. The applicant has requested a waiver of Title 22, Section 101238.2(a) - Outdoor Activity Space
Based on today’s inspection the facility shall be recommended for a capacity of 24 infants based on the indoor measurements and pending approval of requested waiver.
The following recommendations were made during todays inspection and shall be provided by prior to licensure, and no later than 2/24/2024:
- The applicant shall devise a plan to make crib area inaccessible to indoor activity
Child Care Centers applicant was reminded that all adults 18 and over responsible for administration or direct supervision of staff, persons who provides care and supervision to children, and staff who have contact with children, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center. A civil penalty of $100.00 minimum/day for a maximum of 5-days or, if the penalty is for a repeat violation, for a maximum of 30-days per person will be assessed if this regulation is violated.
