32 | LPA then observed additional food crumbs on the floors and at 09:51am LPA also observed a milk spill on the floor next to the tables designated for eating. At 10:01am LPA enter classroom Preschool 1 and observed food crumbs on the floors which additionally had been stepped on by the children. At approximately 10:06am LPA observed an opened lollipop laying on top of a 5 cubic storage compartment in the classroom, at 10:07am LPA observed a child in care with the lollipop in her mouth. At 10:27am LPA entered classroom Twaddler B and observed an eaten food item and crumbs on the bottom shelf of a 5 cubic storage compartment. Around 11:18am from the outside window in the hallway noticed that the milk spill in classroom Prepper B had not been cleaned up from the floor.
Based on observation, the facility did not comply with the Buildings and Grounds section 101238(a) The child care center shall be clean, safe, sanitary and in good repair at all times to ensure the safety and well-being of children, employees and visitors.
There was one deficiency cited during today’s visit in accordance with the California Code of Regulations, Title 22, Division 12, and Chapter 1. See LIC 9099-D for additional information.
An exit interview was conducted, and Plan of Correction was reviewed and developed with the Director. A copy of this report and appeal rights were discussed and left with the Director, whose signature on this form confirm receipt of these documents. A notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100. |
