25 | On 05/22/2024 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Lisa Clayton and LPA Tyra Chavies conducted an ANNOUNCED PRE-LICENSING INSPECTION with applicant Brenitha Oshon. Present during the inspection was applicants fingerprint cleared son Kamarii. Hours of operation are Monday – Friday 6:00am – 6:00pm. Applicant will provide breakfast, lunch, snack, and approved beverages.
The home was toured with the applicant for a health and safety inspection.
LPA’s confirmed that the 3-story home consists of the following: living room, dining room, kitchen, family room, 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, 1 ½ bath, and attached garage.
The applicant has requested the following rooms be ON-LIMITS: the living room (main day care area), dining room (daycare eating/napping area), kitchen (to access family room only), family room (daycare napping room), bathroom #1. The ISOLATION AREA will be in the dining room.
The applicant has requested the OFF-LIMIT AREAS are as follows: attached garage, and the entire 2nd floor (bedroom #1, bedroom #2, bedroom #3, bathroom #2, bathroom #3, all of which are made inaccessible to children in care by child safety gates, closed and/or locked doors and visual supervision.
The home is neat and clean with heating and ventilation for safety and comfort. The home has a working phone and LPA Clayton confirmed the number is 323-419-8342.
The home has a working smoke detector/carbon monoxide detector combo in the dining room and a fully charged 2A10BC Fire Extinguisher in the kitchen. LPA Chavies observed a fully stocked First Aid Kit.
There is a firearm in the home. LPA Clayton and LPA Chavies observed the firearm stored in a locked box in bedroom #2, and the ammunition is stored in a locked safe in bedroom #1, both of which are located on the 2nd floor which is off limits to children in care. A copy of the lease was reviewed and shows control of the property. |
