On 5/5/2025 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Judy Laureano arrived at World Speak Pico International Preschool for the purpose of delivering findings for the above mentioned allegation. LPA toured the facility both indoors and outdoors and observed the 19 children with 3 staff member providing care and supervision.

On 02/27/2025 Licensing Program Analysts (LPA) Judy Laureano and Cristina Castellanos arrived at above mentioned facility for the purpose of investigating the above-mentioned allegation. LPAs was greeted by Aurelie Lebet, Lead Teacher and current designee of responsibility individual. LPAs toured the facility both indoors and outdoors and observed 20 children and two staff members providing care and supervision. LPAs requested and reviewed the following: Children’s Roster, Staff Roster, Staff Time sheets for January 2025 and February 2025, Children’s Attendance Sheets for January 2025 and February 2025, Earthquake and Fire Drill log for 2024 and 2025. Licensee agrees to submit via email any document not available during the time of the inspection. LPAs initiated interviews with staff and children.

A subsequent visit was completed on 03/17/2025 by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Judy Laureano. LPA toured the facility both indoors and outdoors.

During today’s inspection, 5/5/2025, LPA Laureano completed all necessary interviews with staff and reviewed current Emergency Disaster Drill Log. Facility has completed the following Fire and Earthquake drills: 1/15/2025, 2/11/2025. 3/28/2025 and 4/25/2025. LPA recommended facility to include the number of children and adults present during each drill.

On 5/5/2025 LPA concluded all investigative interviews. Based on LPA Laureano’s multiple observation, interviews and document review, no information was disclosed that staff do not complete disaster drills as required. There is not enough information to prove or disprove the allegation. Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove that the above allegation did or did not occur. Therefore, the allegation is found to be unsubstantiated.

A copy of the report was provided and Notice of Site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days. Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate Civil Penalty for $100.00.
