25 | On 2/6/2025, at 1:06pm Licensing Program Analysts (LPA)s Devon Carus, and Adrian Risher conducted a case management inspection to examine/ observe the additions the licensee plans to add to the outdoor childcare area. LPAs toured the area and observed children's toys, walls high enough to keep children from climbing out of the area, a swing for children, and properly installed turf grass.
During the inspection, LPAs Carus and Risher observed some electrical wires that come from the corner of the house leading to the roof. LPAs observed that these wires are essential regarding use of electricity in the family child care home, but are within reach of children. Licensee agreed to set up and secure a children's safety gate around this area, and send photo evidence to the email of LPA Carus that will require the department's approval.
LPAs Carus and Risher also observed a children's swing in the proposed childcare area. Licensee was advised to properly store this swing out of reach of children during daycare hours, and will send photo evidence to the email of LPA Carus that will require the department's approval.
Due to the nature of the proposed space, licensee will ensure that she maintains 100% visual supervision of children in care at all times.
Licensee also agrees to send an updated outdoor facility sketch (LIC 999) to the email of LPA Carus by 12/10/2025 that will require the department's approval.
Licensee will provide proof of completion of these three items, and this outside play area will remain inaccessible until the licensee receives the department's approval.
Exit interview conducted. A notice of site visit was provided to the licensee, and must remain posted for 30 days. |
