32 | LPA toured the inside and outside of the home. In the house there are two bedrooms, one bathroom, a living room, a dining room, and a kitchen. Outside the home there is a detached garage, an enclosed fenced pool, front yard and backyard, the back yard is fenced in. The following areas will be off limits: Front yard, Bedroom 1, kitchen, detached garage and pool. The detached garage will not be used for child care purposes. LPA observed pool area: there is one way to enter the pool which has a pool security self-latching lock, gate that swings away from the pool and a five-foot gate surrounding the pool. Applicant has advised that she will not be using the pool during day care hours. There is a gate barricade that separates the kitchen from the living room and dining room. The kitchen is where the licensee and/or assistants will guide the children to the outdoor space. The following will be accessible to children in care: back yard, living room, dining room, and bedroom 2. LPA observed two gaps on opposite sides of the detached garage between gate and cement that could pose an immediate health and safety violations. LPA advised applicant to close the gap on both sides of the garage to ensure compliance with the Health and Safety regulations. Applicant advised LPA children will be watched at all times while outside. LPA observed cribs for infants and mats for children to rest and/or sleep on. Children will be sleeping in the living room and in Bedroom 2 and eating in the dining room and/or outside if the weather permits. LPA observed age-appropriate toys and books in primary care area (Bedroom 2). |
