32 | BEDROOMS: There are six (6) private bedrooms designated for resident's use. All the bedrooms were furnished with beds, night-stands, chairs, closets, and supply of bedding and linens. Bedrooms #4, 5 and 6 have exit doors leading to the backyard. All bedrooms have fire sprinklers and smoke/monoxide detectors.
BATHROOMS: There are total of two (2) bathrooms for resident use. One of the bathrooms is located next to bedroom #1 and other is near bedrooms # 4. All resident bathrooms were observed to have proper fixtures, grab bars, and non-skid mats. The hot water delivered in the bathrooms measured between 115.4.4 and 1115.6 degrees Fahrenheit.
LAUNDRY ROOM: A stackable washer and dryer was observed in the laundry room next to bedroom#2. A locked cabinet is used to store laundry detergents and kitchen chemicals.
MEDICATION CABINET: Medications will be kept locked in a cabinet in the living room. LPA observed a complete first aid kit and first aid manual in the same cabinet.
OFFICE: Office area is located by the entry door. There is a locked filing cabinet, to maintain all resident and staff records.
SURROUNDING GROUNDS: The passageways and entrance to the home was clear of any obstruction. All exit doors have functional auditory alerts, when opened. In the rear hallway, facility has one exit door, with a ramp, which will be used as the emergency exit. There are two side gates in the front and a gate in the rear alley, which can be used for emergencies. There is a covered shaded area in the backyard with furniture that includes a set of tables, chairs, appropriated for number of residents and staff. There is no swimming pool or body of water. Currently there is no garage, facility will be using the street for parking. The garage used to be in the back but it has been converted to a permitted Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU). The ADU is separated by a wall and it's completely inaccessible by the facility. The ADU is currently vacant but may be used as a rental property in the future.
In addition to the Pre-Licensing inspection, a Component III power point presentation was held. Pursuant to Title 22, Division 6 of the CA Code of Regulations, the facility's physical environment appears to be compliant and ready for licensure. CAB will be advised and a copy of this report was provided to the administrator.
