The facility is a two-story house. All rooms upstairs are off limits. There is a fireplace in the dining area of the facility and it is covered with a mesh screen and a metal fence. The home has central heating and air conditioning units.
Based on records review, the fire/earthquake drills were conducted May 4, 2025, at 3:50 P.M.
Safe and age-appropriate toys, dolls, cubbies, and other learning materials were observed during the inspection. LPA also observed five sleeping cots for children to use during nap time.
Licensee has first aid kit boxes stored in the upper kitchen cabinets.
Licensee is advised that baby bouncers, saucer chairs, or any recalled and or banned toys or sleep/ play equipment are prohibited on the premises. Licensee is advised to check for fixture, furniture and equipment that have been banned or recalled by the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Bathroom: Toilet, sink and faucet were clean and operable. LPA did not observe razors and/or sharp objects, shampoos, mouthwash, medications, perfumes, air freshener, nail polish and nail remover that will pose a health and safety risk to children in care. However, LPA observed a Flu medication inside the bathroom cabinet under the sink with a broken child safety lock. LPA advised the licensee to remove the medication, and the medication was removed out of the bathroom. Licensee was also advised to fix the child safety lock.
Licensee stated that when a child shows signs of illness, the child is separated from other children in bedroom 1.
Outdoor: The facility has no body of water on the premises. The outdoor is made up of concrete, dirt, sand, and turf. LPA did not observe body of water in the backyard. The outdoor play area has age-appropriate toys and play equipment. LPA observed swing sets, slides, climber, sand box, and a basketball hoop at the outdoor play area. LPA also observed woodchips around the play structures.
