25 | On 12/19/2022 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Isabel Ortega conducted an unannounced annual random inspection. The LPA disclosed the purpose of the inspection and was granted entry by Licensee who guided the LPA on a tour of the home. Upon entry to the facility the LPA observe 8 children in care and one Assistant providing care and supervision (fingerprint cleared).
This is a two-story single-family home. There is a living room, dining room, kitchen, six bedrooms, four restrooms, and a converted garage with Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU). ADU permit. Main care is provided in the permit ADU referred to as the Day Care area and pick up and drop off are at the main home. Licensee provides children with cots and playpens(infants) for napping. The off-limits areas are the five bedrooms, three restrooms, and the second floor. Licensee provides breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner as needed. The operational child care hours are Monday through Friday varied up to 23 hours depending on family's need.
The home was inspected inside and out for safety, comfort, cleanliness, telephone service, heating and ventilation, inaccessibility to poisons, detergents, cleaning compounds, medicines, and hazardous items that can pose a danger to children. Knives and medication are kept in the kitchen on a top shelf- inaccessible to children. Cleaning supplies and chemicals are kept under the sink (child safety latch observed) and on a inaccessible high shelf to children in care.
