25 | On October 12, 2023, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs) Annelise Villa and Evelyn Garcia conducted a pre-licensing inspection with Applicant Ruzanna Yeghikyan and Dayana Hovhannisyan, who guided LPAs on a tour of the facility. This is a one-story house with 3 bedrooms, and 2 bathrooms, living room, dining room, and kitchen. The adults residing in the home are applicant, applicant’s mother-in-law, 2 minor children. The children will use bedroom #1 (childcare room) for napping and playing. LPAs observed cots that the children will use for napping.
The facility will operate Monday through Friday, providing care from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday, with a license capacity of 8 children. LPA went over the childcare ratios for a small family home with applicant and provided applicant a copy.
Main care will be provided on in the living room. Children will eat in the dinning area. The day care children will utilize the bathroom accessible through the hallway on the right side of the home. Children will use the backyard for outdoor play. Bedrooms #2 and #3 will be off limits, bathroom #2 located in the bedroom, and front yard are off limits to children in care.
LPA observed day care area to be clean and orderly, central air and heating, age-appropriate toys and play equipment, working smoke and carbon monoxide detectors are in operable condition.
LPA reminded applicant the children's bathroom must be free of shampoos, mouthwash, medication, perfumes, razor, air freshener, nail polish and polish remover. LPA observed a clean, safe and operable toilet and faucet. LPAs observed the cabinet in the bathroom to have a child safety latch and cosmetics stored within.
