32 | LPA Ortega inspected the facility for safety, comfort, cleanliness, ventilation and working phone (cell phone). For ventilation, LPA Ortega observed split type air conditioner/heater unit and the vents located in the ceiling. LPA observed the furniture, children’s materials, to be in good condition and age appropriate. LPA observed cots and a play yard for infants under 1 year. LPA observed play yard a have a firm mattress with a fitted sheet and free from bumper pads, pillows, blankets, and hanging items.
LPA Ortega observed cleaning compounds items stored underneath kitchen sink with a child proof lock making it inaccessible for children to open. LPA observed knives and sharp objects to be stored in the a cabinet inaccessible for children to open with a child proof lock. For water drinking, LPA observed a water dispenser and applicant stated she will be providing disposable cups or water bottles. The applicant stated meals and snacks will be provided to children. Breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner as needed. LPA informed applicant food brought from the children's homes, the container shall be labeled with the child's name and properly stored or refrigerated.
LPA Ortega entered the bathroom and observed the toilet, hand washing sink, hand soap. LPA observed the bottom sink cabinet closed and with a child proof lock. LPA did not observe hazard materials and observed the bathroom to be in good condition. LPA reminded applicant any personal items (ex; shampoo, toothpaste, mouthwash, or items that fall into that category) must be made inaccessible to children.
LPA Ortega asked applicant if there are any pets, poisons, firearms, weapons, or bodies of water. Applicant stated there are no poisons and no bodies of water, no firearms, and no weapons. LPA did not observe dogs, poisons, firearms, weapons, nor bodies of water. Applicant was informed that if any poisons (ex; rat poison or items that fall into that category), firearms and weapons are purchased, it is required to be locked with a key or combination lock and firearm and ammunition/firing pins must be stored separately.
