13 | On 07/09/2021 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Monique Ayala conducted an unannounced complaint investigation for the above allegations. LPA was greeted by Head of School, who guided LPA on a tour of the facility and gathered the census of children present. There were 3 infants and 14 toddlers present with 7 staff. All staff at the facility are fingerprint cleared and associated to the facility.
The investigation consisted of interviews conducted with head of school, staff, children, and other relevant complaint parties. The interviews revealed that there were no witnesses that could corroborate that day care staff forced infant to nap and day care staff are restraining infant in the crib. Head of school and staff denied that forcing chidlren to nap and restraining infants in a crib was permitted in the facility as a form of discipline. LPA spoke with head of school and staff about discipline policy, which is to verbally redirect children.
