On April 1, 2022 Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Monique Ayala conducted an unannounced complaint investigation for the above allegation. LPA was greeted by Head of School, who guided LPA on a tour of the facility and gathered the census of children present. There were 57 with 9 staff. All staff at the facility are fingerprint cleared and associated to the facility.

The investigation consisted of interviews conducted with staff, children, and other relevant complaint parties. The interviews revealed that there was supervison (visual) during the time that the unknown adult was playing with the children. Per staff 1, the unknown adult was picking up trash around the facility and the children were intersted in what he was doing. When the chidlren approched the gate where the man was, the man was explaining to the children what he was doing (picking up trash with clampers and throwing the trash in a bag). Per S1, the man allowed the children to use the clampers through the gate and pick up a peice of trash and place the trash in the bag.

During interviews, children stated that S1 was present during this time. S1 stated that she went to open the gate but continued to have visual on the children. S2 stated that she also had visual on the children during the time that S1 was opening the gate.

Based on information provided, the above allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED. A finding that the complaint is unsubstantiated means that although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of the evidence to prove that the allegations occurred.

There are no deficiencies cited at this time.

An exit interview was conducted a copy of this report was provided to the Head of School along with Appeal rights and a Notice of Site visit.
