25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Maddox met with Director, Carolyn Armstrong today for the purpose of conducting a Pre-licensing inspection for a School age component. Currently there is a licensed Infant and Preschool component at this location with barriers in place to maintain physical separation. This center is located in the rear/last modular of address listed. The hours of operation will be from Mon - Fri from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. Licensee is requesting a capacity of 12 School age children ages 6 through middle school. Measurements taken today as follows:
SA inside area: 23 X 15 = 345/35 = 10
Bathroom: 1 toilet and 1 sink = 15
Staff bathroom is located in the front modular and will also be utilized as the isolation bathroom.
Outside play area: the area beginning from the bottom of the ramp of the front modular back to the front of the center. Separate area from the PS and Infant yard.

Staff will provide a pop-up tent for outside shade.
Fire clearance has been received for 12 SA children, however with measurements taken today, license will be approved for 10 SA children. LPA is requesting staff place orange cones and a child gate in front of the ramp area of the front modular, also, place a barrier in the area in between the front the 2 Modulars. This area has loose rocks, and an anchored air conditioner units attached to the middle part of the building, the edges of this unit could seriously injure a child if they were to run into it. Exit interview conducted, copy of this report left Director. Director will send pictures of the child gates in place, license will be approved once pictures are received. |
