32 | LPA did not observe sleeping mats due to this is a half day program. First aid kits supplies are kept inside the classrooms. During this visit, site supervisor Candice stated currently has no children with severe food allergies or on medication. LPA Rivera asked if there were any poisons, firearms, weapons or bodies of water. The site supervisor stated there were no firearms, weapons, no poisons nor bodies of water. LPA did not observe firearms or weapons, poisons, nor bodies of water. Site supervisor stated the ill isolation area takes place in the site supervisor office and children utilize the restroom located in site supervisor office.
LPA Rivera entered the outdoor play area. LPA Rivera observed the playground to be fenced all around and the gates closed with keypad locks. LPA Rivera observed the equipment to be in a safe condition, free of sharp, no lose or pointed parts. The surface of the outdoor activity space is maintained in a safe condition and is free of hazards. LPA Rivera observed play structure equipment to be age appropriate and areas around or under high climbing equipment, are cushioned with granulated rubber mat that may absorb a fall. For adequate shade, LPA Rivera observed 2 hip roof shade structures. LPA observed trash bins with lids. For outdoor water drinking, staff bring out children sippy cup and available water fountain. LPA observed a storage shed closed and locked.
This program provides lunch and prepared offsite. The meals are delivered daily by School Day café (Saugus school district). LPA Rivera informed site supervisor Candice that any food brought from the children's homes, the container shall be labeled with the child's name and properly stored or refrigerated. For water drinking, LPA Rivera observed children personal water bottles and water fountains onsite. The facility was observed to be free of flies, other insects and rodents. Lead testing was conducted on 8/15/24 and no lead exceedance.

LPA Rivera reviewed the children’s roster, children’s files, and sign in/out sheets and observed 18 signed in signatures. LPA was not able to fully review staff files due to files are located at Saugus School District.
LPA Rivera observed site supervisor Candice Correa American Red Cross Pediatric First Aid/CPR certification dated 8/24/25 and completed the child abuse mandated reporter certification dated 11/1/24. Site supervisor was informed that the mandated reporter training must be completed every 2 years, and is available www.mandatedreporterca.com
