32 | Kitchen: The kitchen (located at the end of classroom #1 and #2) was observed for safety, sanitation, and good repair. The kitchen consists of a refrigerator/freezer, sink, food preparation counters and pantries. Knives and sharp items are stored in the freezer, made inaccessible by half door that remains closed. Menus are made available. The children are provided with filtered water and disposable cups.
Outdoor/Children’s Play Area: The outdoor play areas (separated into two play areas by gates) was inspected for safety, cleanliness, good repair, age-appropriate toys/equipment, cushioned floors, and shady areas. LPA observed play structures, biking areas, and sensory areas. Per LPA observation, there are no pools, spas, or bodies of water on the premises.
File Review: LPA reviewed two children files which contained all required documentation. LPA reviewed Director’s file and six teacher files which included all required documentation. Director CPR/FA expires 02/2026 and Mandated Reporter training expires 08/2026. LPA verified the educational qualifications and background clearance of all staff present.
Postings: LPA observed required postings as follows: Facility License, Personal Rights (LIC613A), Parent’s Rights Poster, Passenger Car Seat Law (PUB 269), and Emergency Disaster Plan (LIC 610)
Other: Per Director, smoking is prohibited on the premises. Per Director, there are no firearms/weapons stored on premises. Disaster drills last completed on 10/2025. The sign-in and sign-out sheets were observed in each classroom. Per Director, last lead testing conducted in 2023. The carbon monoxide alarm was observed.

Director reminded that all adults 18 and over, including employees and volunteers, except as specified in Health and Safety Code section 1596.871, must obtain a criminal record clearance or exemption, or transfer their existing clearance or exemption, prior to initial presence in a Child Care Center.
