Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Warren Birks conducted an unannounced Case Management Incident inspection. This inspection is regarding an gastrointestinal outbreak incident that took place January 16, 2024. Licensing met with Assistant Site Supervisor Amber Pimentel who provided information and assistance for the inspection.

The purpose of the inspection is to observe the infant classroom, cleaning supplies, food storage refrigeration, and diapering area. LPA observed the classroom floors and surfaces to appear to be in sanitary condition. LPA also observed the bottles and food storage area appear to be clean and sanitized. Staff use gloves, soap and water and/or a disinfectant (watered down bleach solution) to clean counter tops and diaper changing surfaces. In addition, clean bottles and utensils are stored completely separate from used items.

LPA advised facility to monitor children closely throughout this time and to continue to sanitize the diapering area to prevent additional possible exposures.

LPA observed no Title 22 violations or received disclosure indicating a Title 22 violation occurred at this time. LPA advised Assistant Site Supervisor Amber Pimentel to follow all recommendations by the facility's local Health Department. LPA also advised Assistant Site Supervisor Pimentel to continue to have staff receive guidance and training regarding prevention guidelines.

The Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213)must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a civil penalty of $100.00. Exit interview was conducted with Assistant Site Supervisor Amber Pimentel.
