25 | On 03/14/2025 at 09:16 am, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Jonnisha Culbert performed an unannounced annual/random inspection at the facility noted above. LPA met with Licensee, Sheelpa Desai stated the purpose of today’s visit and provided licensee with an Entrance Checklist-Family Child Care Homes (LIC 126). Present at the time of inspection were Licensee, assistant, adult 1, and 9 children. Licensee guided LPA on a tour of the facility. Individuals residing in the home were discussed and noted. Per licensee, they are open 24/7, but the children who are currently enrolled come Monday through Friday from 7 am to 4 pm.
This is a single-family home that consists of Three (3) bedrooms, two (2) bathrooms, living room (with access to loft), loft (upstairs), dining area, kitchen, den (main childcare area), attached garage, fenced backyard, driveway, and front yard.
Areas that are accessible to children include: One (1) bathroom, living room (through passing), dining area (through passing), kitchen (through passing), den, and fenced back yard.
Areas off-limits to children include: Three (3) bedroom, one (1) bathroom, loft, and attached garage. Per licensee, the rooms are inaccessible when children are present. LPA observed that doors were open. LPA reminded licensee the off-limits area of the home is to remain inaccessible when children are present. Licensee purchased child safety doorknob covers and informed LPA that they will be installed upon arrival. Per licensee, there is no access through the home to the attached garage.
