25 | On 05/13/2024 at 2:10 pm, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA), Crystal Green conducted an announced Case Management inspection for a change in licensed capacity. Upon arrival, Licensing Staff met with Facility Representative Jayleen Olmos. This facility is currently licensed as a Preschool program with Toddler Option Component with an overall capacity of 60 (48 preschoolers ages 2-5 in classrooms 2 and 3, and 12 toddlers ages 18- 36 months in classroom 1. The Licensee, KinderCare Learning Centers, has requested to remove the Toddler Option Component and increase the Preschool program capacity to 68 ages 2- 5 years old in classroom 1, 2, and 3.
The Facility hours of operation are Monday to Friday from 6:30am to 6pm. Present during today’s inspection were 45 napping children with 5 staff. Appropriate ratios and supervision were observed. All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children was inspected today. LPA informed Facility staff that staff are required to maintain direct visual supervision of the children at all times during indoor and outdoor activities.
LPA continued to tour the facility. LPA observed all indoor activity space to be complete with safe, age-appropriate furniture and equipment, including tables, chairs, cubbies, napping cots, bookshelves, and other activity supplies for the children. Drinking water is available in the classrooms via Sparkler Water Bottles and personal cups. LPA observed all hazardous items to be inaccessible to children. There are no bodies of water or weapons on the property.
LPA observed a total of 6 sinks and 6 toilets available for children’s use. These are sufficient to accommodate the licensed capacity of 68 children. LPA also observed a changing table located within both classroom 1 and 3. |
