32 | Allegation #1: Facility is operating out of ratio
According to the allegation, the facility was short staffed on multiple occasions.
During visits conducted for this investigation, the facility was observed by LPAs to be operating within the required teacher-child ratio requirements. On 08/18/22 (41 children with 7 staff), 08/26/22 (39 children with 6 staff), 10/25/22 (39 children with 8 staff) and 11/14/22 (42 children with 7 staff). LPA Razo reviewed qualifications of teachers at the facility and records reviewed showed the teachers to be qualified.
Additionally, Child Supervision Records (CSR’s), and parent sign-in/sign-out sheets for the month of August were obtained and reviewed and showed the facility appeared to be operating within the teacher-child ratio requirement.
No disclosures that the facility has operated out of ratio were made by staff, parents, or children during interviews.
Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore at this time the above allegation is UNSUBSTANTIATED.
Notice of site visit was given and must remain posted for 30 days.
Failure to comply with posting requirements shall result in an immediate civil penalty of $100.
An exit interview was conducted, and a copy of this report was provide and reviewed with Director, Margie Zarate.
