thighs, but no other injuries were documented. According to records collected from the Buena Park police Department there was no indication of a crime. Staff One (S1) disclosed that they performed (C1) last diaper change and did not observe skin discoloration on child’s thighs. Interviews with facility staff revealed that a shape-ring component located on the toddler play structure is frequently climbed and straddled by C1 and could have caused triangular discoloration on the child’s thighs.
Although the allegation may have happened or is valid, there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violation did or did not occur, therefore the allegation is unsubstantiated.
The compliant regarding parent not being notified of diaper rash was investigated by LPA Jonnisha Culbert. The investigation consists of interviews conducted with staff and parents, documents collected from the facility, and photos taken of daily diaper logs. Three out of three staff interviewed revealed that information regarding diaper rashes are updated in the app. During parent interviews, three out of five parents confirmed that when their child had a diaper rash, they were notified through the Kindercare app.
