On 08/01/2024 at 1:20 pm, Licensing Program Analysts (LPAs), Crystal Green and Shushanik Safaryan conducted an unannounced Case Management inspection for a change in capacity. LPAs met with Licensee Representative Rohini Nimali David. This facility is currently licensed as a preschool program with a capacity 85 children serving ages 2 until 6 years old in classrooms 1, 2, and 3.

The Licensee, Flintridge Montessori Preschool and Elementary Inc., has requested to add a new toddler option program in classroom 3 and decrease their preschool capacity. Hours of operation will be Monday to Friday from 8 am - 5:30pm.

Present during today’s inspection were 43 children with 6 staff. Appropriate ratios and supervision were observed. All indoor and outdoor activity space utilized for the children was inspected today. LPAs inspected classroom 3 for the new toddler option program. During this inspection, licensing staff consulted with the licensee representative regarding the facility’s available indoor and outdoor space that can be used as additional space. At this time, the preschool application for a capacity will remain pending. LPAs discuss the option of adding a new infant program serving ages 12 to 24 months in classroom 5. LPAs inspected classroom 5 and obtained measurements. Per Licensee Representative, informed that she will discuss the options available with the Board of Directors and she will provide additional information at a later date.

Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Facility Representative, Rohini Nimali David.

A notice of site visit was given to facility representative and must remain posted on, or immediately adjacent to, the interior side of the main door for 30 days.
