25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Dayna Chambers conducted an unannounced annual inspection to the above facility on 01/13/2025. LPA arrived at the facility at 11:40AM, identified self and met with Sharon Sar, Licensee, who guided analyst on a tour of the facility. LPA provided Licensee with a copy of the LIC 126 Entrance Checklist to help facilitate the inspection. LPA observed that also present during this inspection, was Malyneath Vong, Licensee’s Assistant. LPA observed 2 children upon arrival. Per Licensee, operation hours are Monday through Friday 4:30am to 12:00PM, Monday, Saturdays: 4:30am to 7:00pm and closed on Sundays. There are 4 children that are currently enrolled. A current LIC9040 children’s roster was available for review. This is a one-story home which consists of 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living room, hallway in entryway, front yard, fenced backyard, and detached garage. In kitchen, the children use the bathroom in the hallway near bedrooms, and also, the bathroom past the kitchen, near the door to enter backyard. Children’s napping and main activity area is the living room. The children will have meals in the kitchen. Per Licensee, areas off limits to children and parents include: 4 bedrooms and front yard.
The licensee provides food for children in care. Individuals who reside in the home were noted and discussed. Per Licensee, they currently have 2 assistants. Licensee states that there are no firearms stored in the home. Per licensee, there is one large dog in an off-limit area in the backroom that is not accessible to children in care during daycare hours. There is one talking parrot in an off-limit room.
All areas identified on the facility sketch that are accessible for children to use were inspected for safety, comfort, and cleanliness. There is telephone service via cellphone and the cellphone stay at the facility during operation hours. There is ventilation and heating central heat and air, windows, and fans.
LPA did not observe any infant walkers, baby bouncers, inclined chairs, baby saucers, or any similar items at the facility. Safe toys play equipment and materials were observed. Detergents, cleaning compounds, medications, and other items which could pose a danger to children were observed to be inaccessible to children. The licensee states that there are no poisons in the home and understands that storage areas for poisons must be locked with a key or combination lock. The restroom that children use was observed to be safe and sanitary. The valve on the required 2A 10BC fire extinguisher indicates fully charged and was |
