25 | Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kamile Martin conducted an unannounced annual random inspection to the above facility. A risk assessment was conducted upon entry. LPA met with Licensee, Laarnie Torres, who guided analysts on a tour of the facility. Per Licensee, there are currently 13 children enrolled. There were 2 adults (licensee, her spouse,) and 2 children present upon arrival. Facility capacity is in compliance for a Large Family Child Care Home. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 6:00am-6:00pm.
This is a two story home which consists of 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, laundry room, basement, nap room, day care playroom, front yard detached garage and backyard (fenced). Currently residing in the home is 3 adults and 0 minor children. All adults present in the home have obtained a criminal record clearance or exemption prior to working, residing or volunteering in the licensed child care home.
Areas accessible to children were inspected as follows: living room, nap room, day care play room, 1 bathroom and back play yard.
Per licensee, areas off limits to children and parents, entire upstairs, 3 bedrooms, kitchen, dining room, laundry room, basement, left side of back yard and detached garage. LPA toured all areas on limits and first floor off limits areas. Upstairs is inaccessible via gate at the bottom of the stairs. Per Licensee, there is a fire arm air soft in the home. LPA did verify that the firearm is properly stored per Title 22 regulations. No bodies of water was observed.
