25 | On 11/15/2024, Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Kruz Long conducted an unannounced Required - 3 year inspection at the above facility. A COVID-19 risk assessment was conducted prior to entering the facility. Upon arrival LPA Long was greeted by licensee, Erika Serrano, LPA observed 1 Caregiver and 2 children in care. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 6 AM to 7 PM.
This is a single-story house which contains a living room, kitchen, dining room, 2 bedroom, 2 bathrooms and a detached garage. This is a 2 unit property. Unit A is used for child care and Unit B is a rental unit.
The day care takes place in the living room, kitchen, dining room, 1 bathroom, rear yard and garage which is converted for child care.
Per Licensee, there are 4 adults living in the home (Licensee, husband, 2 adult children. All has criminal record clearance). The home is clean, orderly, comfortable, and well ventilated. Licensee's poisons, detergent, cleaning compounds, medications and other items which could pose a danger to child are stored where they are inaccessible to children. LPA observed working smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector, fully charged fire extinguisher, and working land line and cellular telephones. There are several age-appropriate toys and a first aid kit on the premises. Per the licensee, there are no firearms on the premises. There is a small size dog which is placed in the dog house during operating hours. Licensee has current First Aid and CPR, expires 02/15/26. Outdoor play areas are fenced.
