On 11/30/23 at 12:45pm, Licensing Program Analysts (LPA)s Mary Silva and Stephanie Li conducted a subsequent complaint inspection to conclude the investigation regarding the above complaint allegations. LPA met with licensee Aida Dejong, the reason for the inspection was explained. Licensee guided LPA on a tour of the facility. There was a total of 5 children present with 3 staff.

Complainant alleged that the licensee yells at children in daycare
Complainant alleged that the licensee left daycare children unattended in the front yard.

During the course of this investigation, LPA obtained a copy of the facility roster, and parent agreement. Interviews were also conducted with the Licensee, staff #1, daycare children, and parents. There were no disclosures made during interviews to corroborate the alleged allegations.

Although the allegations may have happened or are valid there is not a preponderance of evidence to prove the alleged violations did or did not occur, therefore the allegations are unsubstantiated.

The Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) – must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a civil penalty of $100.00.
Exit interview conducted and report was reviewed with the Director, Aida Dejong. Appeal rights and procedures were provided during this visit.
