25 | An unannounced decrease in capacity site inspection was conducted on this date by Licensing Program Analyst (LPA) Cynthia Reyes, for the purpose of Inspecting and approving removal of 2 class rooms from the preschool license. LPA met with Monique Yip, Administrator. Due to COVID- 19 precautionary measures were taken during the entire inspection and all individuals present during this inspection wore appropriate personal protective equipment. Days & Hours of this facility are Monday-Friday 7 AM-6 PM.
This center is previously licensed for 104 preschool and request to decrease to 64 preschool children. The preschool consists of 5 classrooms; Room 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. Licensee request to remove room 4 & 5, that will now be used by the new proposed school age program (F# 198020838). The preschool program is physically separate from other components both indoors and outdoors.
At 9 AM Monique Yip, guided the LPA on a tour of the facility indoors and outdoors, during the walk through. All areas were inspected to meet the regulations. No citations or corrections are needed at this time.
Parents will stop at the front entrance, will sign the child in/out and parent and child's temperature will be checked before the staff walk the child to the classroom.
The capacity decrease will be granted. The license then will be amended to reflect the new capacity of sixty four (64) preschool children and a new license will be mailed to the facility. During this inspection LPA discussed Social and Physical Distancing Guidance And Healthy Practices For Child Care Facilities In Response To The Global Corona virus (COVID-19) Pandemic. The facility does provide Incidental Medical Services (IMS).
10 AM Exit interview conducted with Monique Yip, Administrator. LPA advised the Applicant to access forms, regulations and quarterly updates on the Child Care Licensing website at: www.ccld.ca.gov. The Notice of Site Visit (LIC 9213) – must remain posted for 30 days during the hours of operation after each site visit by a licensing representative. Failure to maintain posting as required will result in a civil penalty of $100.00. |
